Fundraising

Fundraising is one of MEDLIFE at UGA’s main focuses. Throughout the year, we host large and small fundraising events. In the past, large fundraisers have included concerts, 5K races, and a cornhole tournament. Small fundraisers include scarf sales at Tate Plaza and Athens Farmers Market, percentage nights at restaurants, canning, Christmas caroling, and many other events. All chapter members can and are encouraged to participate in fundraising, and those who wish to get more involved can apply to join the Fundraising Committee.

This year, we are raising funds to help construct a mass medical facility in Lima, Peru. This facility would allow primary care and health education all year long, as opposed to our current week-long mobile clinics. We currently aid the lives of so many and building this medical facility would allow us to help the lives of others on a more permanent basis.

In addition to raising money for MEDLIFE’s funds, we also help individual members with their personal fundraising for service learning trips!
